Terms & Conditions

The Terms & Conditions outlined below and in the next section, are to ensure the wellbeing and safety of both Clients and their Dogs.  Please do read through them all carefully.

Booking

  • Confirmation of your booking will be sent to you once full payment has been received, and this registration questionnaire has been completed.  The Booking Confirmation will outline your training start date, time and location of the class that has been booked.

  • It is the Client's responsibility to ensure they attend the correct date, time and place for their class.

Fees and Prices

  • Course Fees and Bookings may be made online (click link): https://www.derbyshiredogservices.com/book-online

  • The full course Fee is payable prior to the course start date.  Your place on the course is not guaranteed until the full Fee has been paid.

  • Price advertised at the time of booking applies.

Training Class Attendance

  • Derbyshire Dog Services (DDS) Training courses consist of 6 weekly classes.  For optimum results, we highly recommend you attend all of your classes and make use of any learning materials provided by DDS.

  • Puppies must be vaccinated.  Proof of vaccination must be brought along to your first class, or a copy emailed to info@derbyshiredogservices.com prior to class commencement.  Failure to do so, will result in your dog being unable to attend the class.  This is for the health and safety of all dogs attending.

  • We would ask that you ensure you only bring healthy dogs/puppies to class.  If you suspect your dog may be ill (diarrhea/vomiting/off food/temperature) please do not bring him/her to class.

  • Occasionally, the class environment may not suit a dog.  If the trainer feels the environment is detrimental to your dog, we will have a discussion to make alternative arrangements to ensure your dog still receives training.

  • We do allow and encourage children to attend classes.  All children must be supervised by a responsible adult.  We ask that children are encouraged not to disrupt the class and prevent learning and not to approach dogs that do not belong to their family during class times.  The tutor reserves the right to ask disruptive children not to attend future classes.

  • Missed classes cannot be made up for by joining another class. Unfortunately this can cause disruption to other classes, introducing a new dog part way through.

  • DDS runs by the code of ethics laid out by The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers, found here: https://www.imdt.uk.com/code-of-ethics.  DDS uses positive reinforcement, ethical and science-based training methods.  As such, we do not allow aversive methods or equipment to be used in our classes.

  • At times we might take video or photographic images that we might share on social media or our website.  We will only show images and film that show clients and their dogs in a good light.  If you would not be happy with this, please let us know in writing before commencement of your course.
